Video Gait Analysis

Video gait analysis is an extremely useful tool to aid in clinical diagnosis of any alignment problems of the feet and legs, and to help direct appropriate treatment.  A short video clip of you  walking or running on a treadmill is made, allowing us to slow down the frames, and go through any observations of gait problems you may have with you.

Orthotics (Custom arch supports)

These days orthotics can be made from a wide range of high tech materials, according to your condition and needs.  Custom orthotics are made from plaster casts of your own feet, and are therefore made uniquely for you.  We use plaster casting to ensure a pure three dimensional replica of your feet, this way your orthotics will fit perfectly and provide excellent correction of you biomechanical alignment.

Semi-custom Orthotics

Sometimes a less expensive but still very effective orthotic device is required.  Our semi-custom orthotics are not off the shelf orthotics, but a device which is heat moulded to your foot, then reinforced in the required areas to ensure precise correction.  These orthotics work particularly well in sports shoes and school shoes.

Ingrown Nail Treatment

Ingrowing nails can be a very painful condition for many people.  Sometimes adolescents have ingrowing nails trouble due to activity and increased perspiration or poor nail care.  We use the finest of precision tools to ensure that ingrowing nails can be treated as painlessly as possible.

Nail Surgery

If recurring ingrowing nails is a problem for you, sometimes minor permanent surgery may be the best solution.  A partial nail avulsion is performed in our rooms, with sterile instruments.  A local anaesthetic injection is used and part of the nail matrix is resected and cauterized so that it does not grow as wide in future.  This procedure involves very minimal trauma and has a very high success rate.  To have a brochure on nail surgery mailed out to you, just call our office.
