Matt Hayter is an accredited Podiatrist with several years experience in private practice. He completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry) with Honours from QUT in 2003.
After graduating, Matt joined a large, established private practice. In 2005, he saw a need for quality Podiatric care in Brisbane's North West and set about establishing his own practice. Now Dynamic Podiatry is a well respected practice providing solutions for all types of foot health problems. As well as the stand alone practice located on Ferny Way in Ferny Hills, Dynamic Podiatry has Podiatrists visiting Keperra Family Practice, Bardon Physiotherapy Centre and Fernlands Radius Medical Centre at Ferny Hills.
Matt's aim for Dynamic Podiatry was to provide a comprehensive podiatry practice with practitioners who listen to your concerns and provide a range of treatment options for your condition.
Matt is passionate about helping patients with diabetes maintain healthy feet and legs. Matt has professional membership with Diabetes Australia Queensland which means he can access the latest developments in treating and preventing Diabetic complications in the feet and legs of people suffering from Diabetes. Regular foot assessments and treatment for patients with Diabetes is recommended to reduce the effects Diabetes has on foot health. With screening technology such as a handheld Doppler Ultrasound, a study of the arteries of the foot and lower limb can be undertaken to check blood supply and gauge blood pressure in the legs relative to the rest of the body.
Matt also has a strong interest in the treatment of biomechanical (how the body moves) problems of the lower limbs. Matt understands the frustration that sore legs and feet can cause in everyday life. In many cases, the cause of these problems can be treated using various treatment methods and will allow you to enjoy the activities that make you happy.
Many of Matt's patients are children who he treats for various childhood foot and leg problems. As a parent of sporting kids, he understands that children love to be active and he aspires to help overcome injuries or problems children might have. He also understands that treatment should not cost the earth and seeks to find a cost effective solution.
For several years Matt has also worked for QUT, supervising the QUT Podiatry clinic and lecturing undergraduate Podiatry students. Matt enjoys his work at QUT and seeing the students develop into competent clinicians.
Matt is a member of the Australian Podiatry Association (Qld) Inc and the Sports Podiatry Group. He is also an accredited Podiatrist which means he has completed the continuing professional development hours required by the Australasian Podiatry Council Accredited Podiatrist Program.
